Curve Ball-Foul Ball

As a continuation of my journey to this playing field of which I'm on, I shall continue to share of meetings and happenings. After all, there are other players involved. They make the playing field more interesting and impact my outcome. I will tell of the hits and misses being played during the search for a new home, a new job, and other meanderings.  "The morning after" wasn't awkward with Bryan. Neither of us had anything to feel ashamed of, really. Our morning began by drinking coffee out of different beer glasses...he doesn't have cups either. (laugh here.) I made a mental note of this and thought on my next visit, should there be one, I will actually bring beer. It may be more suitable for these receptacles. I wonder if he ever drinks beer from them, or does he drink that right from the BOTTLE? (smile here).  We talked of the Seahawk's exciting, playoff game being televised in less than 2 hours. I reminded him I had plans to go to KP's house with ...

Curve Ball-The Warm Up

My excitement was apparent after viewing Linda's space and it doubled because of Bryan giving me the signal to come for a visit.  After my purchase of a cheap bottle of wine, I drove through the dark and the fog to find Bryan's house. Visibility was a challenge and I passed the proper street...twice. (laugh here). I sent him a text message with my whereabouts so he didn't think I went in the other direction to negate the plan. (For grumpy's information, it's way bigger than a 60" screen.) We went into the kitchen and he plucked two beer glasses from a cupboard, apologizing that he had no wine glasses. I gently reminded him; if I moved in, he would...and a nice wine rack to boot. (laugh here). I assured him I had no issue with the g...

Curve Ball-A Hit

The job searches continue and I have personally turned in some application packets, in hopes of meeting the right person with the hiring status. No such luck. I think Human Resource folks are well protected during companies' hiring splurges. I have been told time and again, they would contact me should I warrant an interview. (sigh here). I am not happy with the three staffing agencies I have registered with, either.  I have a couple of friends that send me links within their organizations of new job postings. Unfortunately, they don't have enough clout with their "powers that be," to convince them of my capabilities and scheduling an interview. So, I just keep on keepin' on, (as our, dear, bill would say). (smile here).  During these decision making processes, I decided to do something worthwhile. I figured; rather than spending endless hours in this room absorbed by cyber space, not only do I need to keep being social on occasion, but I need to keep my secret...
