Braced for the Worst:Second Entry

After about 10 -15 minutes, the nurse gently asked us to exit the room so they could reposition him. On our way out the door, she pointed to the waiting room and she would come and get us when they finished their tasks. Grateful for her regard, we went down the hall, me pushing mom on her walker. Around the door frame we went. There sat my ex mother in law, facing the entry to my right, not in front of me. The ex and his lady sat against a wall several feet from me, farther back in the room. An ex brother in law sat near them. His mom had a shocked (?) smile (?) on her face. My mom got off her walker and repositioned herself closer to the Mrs. and away from the doorway. The ex looked quickly up, then I am unsure of his reaction. The Mrs. got up and gave me and my mom a quick hug. My ex brother in law got off his feet and stepped towards me, (positioned right in from of the ex and his lady), arms extended. I hugged him and told him we had just been in to see his dad and they needed us t...

Braced for the Worst:First Entry

As time passes, I think less and less about the ex, caring less and less about his so called travels, which are almost non existent. He is in a development in Longview, WA, with "her". I actually find it quite amusing, now. You may think me mean, immature or whatever your adjective may be. OK.(sigh here. I am braced for your input...especially from "grumpy"...smile here.) On a rare occasion, a shared friend will post a link to his professional page. I guess he is promoting a book he's just written on Internet Social Networking and Relationships... This happened Saturday morning. I looked at his site, and noticed on his social site, he was at a hospital in Bremerton. His post was something regarding his dad as a patient and not doing well. A few friendly, comments stated "I'll keep your dad in my prayers." I debated, internally, of what action, if any, I should take. So, I picked up my cell phone and called his old cell number, and stunningly, the...

Lookie, Lookie

Life has been quite busy, these last few weeks, again. I have been trying to look for projects, pass times, and the like. I continue to be very, busy at work, and struggling to keep up with the paper shuffle, staffing clients and dealing with the day to day tasks. My "floating help" seems to be taken away on other currents, not  steered in my direction as planned, by my service director. The gals who were suppose to help me weekly, often do not make it to my office. I stay late at work at least twice a week, trying to focus on file management without the phones ringing constantly. It helps, but makes me go...blah... The volleyball on Sunday mornings has been fun, though I have been too slack to go the last couple of times. On Memorial weekend, I was on call and did not feel like going to play as the pager was going off all the time. Last week, I did not feel like going as I had been up on Saturday night until 3am...(smile here). Interesting night: My co worker from the O...
