Looking Glass

 Well, I did it. I survived the preparation, perspiration and presentation of addressing a larger audience than planned. 126 people attended the Leaders Institute in Tacoma for District 32-Toastmasters. My counterpart did a great job of being organized and creating a brief power point that coincided with my speech. I was told I did a good job by several people. When I saw the room packed with more than 80 people, I did get a few butterflies in my stomach, but they flew away after a few opening sentences.  I certainly have a good experience under my belt. As a whole, the organizers did a nice job planning the event and it was successful.Whew...it's over. (I tried to upload a picture or two here, but that function isn't working at this time.)

                                          Myself and fellow officers from Toastmasters Club.  I decided to share this picture with you of myself and fellow officers. I printed this picture in the April Newsletter for the club. The article was called, "Not Your Secret Service". The article revolved around officer duties and the service performed to benefit the club. I interviewed each officer and shared how this role has helped each one grow as a person and become more connected to the club because of  it, as well. I used a play on words throughout the article. My focus for this was to inform members of the officers' duties as officer elections will be coming in May. I arranged this photo "shoot" after one of our meetings and everyone was so cooperative in being tough looking. W...

This is me manageing the Table Topics portion of our meeting,  among the decorations I put up in the room. This was the decorated entry way to the meeting room.   Capitol Club #422/Toastmaster's Our Halloween meeting was very fun and successful. We had twenty two people attend and six of them were guests. Three of the six joined our club by the end of the meeting. Our enthusiasm and knowledge is starting to be world wide spread...Ha! We are getting a lot of recognition due to many great members. I am blessed to be a part of this.
