They Skip With Me

The littlest:Lucy
Large: Chewy, Medium:Molly and then...
Molly is energetic and likes to play fetch.
Chewy pretends he can play and pretends to run.
This is what it's like to get attention from them all, at once, at my feet.




Yep, he is that much bigger than Lucy. She's on a step to boot!
 




So these are quick shots of roomie's dogs. Little Lucy is her pride and joy and gets to go everywhere with her. Chewbacca, (Chewy), is the large dog that hangs with me while roomie and Lucie go play.Molly is her middle dog that she has joint custody of...yep...that's right. Roomie's x-boyfriend and she share Molly. It is roomie's visitation right now, so the middle dog has been with us for a few weeks. They are well behaved, and other than Chewy's shedding, they are fine.

Your roomie is very fortunate that you like dogs. Some don't. My step-son and his fiance were over last weekend for a bbq, she's been here many times though. I have begun to notice that when Nellie tries to make contact with her hand (her way of greeting, much better than the crotch goosing), she pulls her hand away quickly. I try to be attentive and call her away but there's just something I don't trust about people that won't pay attention to my dog with even just a simple pat on the head.

I'm so happy you're back to blogging, I've really missed you.

Dogs are nice until they get in the way or become a problem. I've had a couple of dogs and considered myself a dog person. Dogs are a responsibility, like children, and are not for everyone.

The Observation Deck

 I just finished rereading some posts from my favorite blog authors; bill, kden, grumpy and hub. I enjoy them very much. I was glad to read that bill attended a speaking gig with his son, and I was enchanted by his post of speaking to medical students with Ann. I can see him sitting there, in front of those 14, wanna be doctors, talking with wise words in a gentle, yet direct fashion. I can see him being honest and descriptive, when sharing the challenges and fears of catching that next breath. Yet, he doesn't allow himself the credit he deserves for painting those pictures with words. He is a better author than he realizes. He does far more than, "ramble."  I reread some of kden's posts, too. As I have the pleasure of knowing her in person, I can see her sparkle shine through her words. Pane of Pain

He's back! The x is in the area. He landed at the Portland airport a couple of nights ago, closer to "her" than Seattle. Guess he left his truck and camper in AZ to fly back to our little area for the holidays. Crap! In viewing his calendar, he only has one booking in Eastern WA in mid January. Nothing else booked at this time other than his webinars which he presents while sitting on his butt in his camper. So lord knows how long he'll be around. I am concerned we may cross paths at some point as my friend (and his) invited me to a "Box Lunch" the day after Christmas. It is a party where everyone attending brings their Christmas dinner leftovers, and a buffet of the odds and ends is laid out. Of course, it is BYOB and it looks like fun. My friend has hosted these before, but the x never wanted to attend, so we didn't. He will likely take every opportunity to brag about his travels of OR, CA, and AZ.
