Look What I Found!


 I am unsure as to how much time my blogging counterparts spend on their computers, beyond their blogging. I know a few of us have face book, twitter and other social media sites. I see your cyber interaction, occasionally. Not to add more to our lists, but, for the creative souls, there is a visual site called, Pinterest. I find it relaxing because you don't have to worry about "what to say." It is a site that revolves around sharing pictures on virtual bulletin boards. You can develop as few or as many bulletin boards as you choose. It is a great way of sharing craft ideas, recipes, pictures, clever or inspirational sayings and quotes, etc...Many businesses are using this tool to "pin" business ideas or business pictures, as a form of advertising or to drive folks to their websites.
 I started my Pinterest boards, months ago. Some people have hundreds of thousands of followers. I rarely make a comment on someones "pin", but when I do, they usually comment back. I have many friends sharing this site, but more strangers from cyber space are my followers.
 I thought of sharing this as kden may enjoy looking at glass ware and yard decorations. She could even post her photo artwork here...which is incredibly common for artisits' use. hub could use it as another tool to promote his book, when he's finished with it's publication. bill and grumpy, not sure it's purpose for you, other than sheer enjoyment. This link takes you to my general site, but please click my name in the top, right corner and check out my boards. When that page opens up, you can click on any board title and see that board description and pins I have stuck on each. You can click any of my followers' names and it sends you to their boards. Once I go to their boards, I can repin pictures from their bulletin boards to mine. It is truly sharing visual pictures. I hope this link is accurate...it was a minute ago.

I had a quick look. I might come back to it later. It doesn't seem to have many men on it. Not that that's a bad thing, he hastens to add.

hub, it is occupied with a higher % of women, but lots of men participate too. If you ever spend time checking it out, you'll see that.

I have looked through it a long time ago and I'm afraid I would get too hooked and spend more time online than I normally do ;-)

I couldn't find your page though, this link just goes to the main site. How can I look at your page?

The Observation Deck

 I just finished rereading some posts from my favorite blog authors; bill, kden, grumpy and hub. I enjoy them very much. I was glad to read that bill attended a speaking gig with his son, and I was enchanted by his post of speaking to medical students with Ann. I can see him sitting there, in front of those 14, wanna be doctors, talking with wise words in a gentle, yet direct fashion. I can see him being honest and descriptive, when sharing the challenges and fears of catching that next breath. Yet, he doesn't allow himself the credit he deserves for painting those pictures with words. He is a better author than he realizes. He does far more than, "ramble."  I reread some of kden's posts, too. As I have the pleasure of knowing her in person, I can see her sparkle shine through her words. Pane of Pain

He's back! The x is in the area. He landed at the Portland airport a couple of nights ago, closer to "her" than Seattle. Guess he left his truck and camper in AZ to fly back to our little area for the holidays. Crap! In viewing his calendar, he only has one booking in Eastern WA in mid January. Nothing else booked at this time other than his webinars which he presents while sitting on his butt in his camper. So lord knows how long he'll be around. I am concerned we may cross paths at some point as my friend (and his) invited me to a "Box Lunch" the day after Christmas. It is a party where everyone attending brings their Christmas dinner leftovers, and a buffet of the odds and ends is laid out. Of course, it is BYOB and it looks like fun.
