Que sera, sera

 I have not heard a word or seen an email since my application packet was forwarded to the hiring manager at Work Source. That's OK. I am sure they have tons of applicants and I am not holding my breath anyway. No stress or worries about it...que sera, sera. (yes that is how you spell it...I asked Wikipedia...smile here.)
 Out of left field a few nights ago, I received a message from a good friend and she said another friend of mine was working at a clinic that was looking for a Front Office Supervisor. I contacted the friend and she told me about the position and forwarded my resume onto the clinic director. She suggested I fill out the on line application as well.  Before I had that process completed, the director had left me a message and we played phone tag for a day. I called him this morning and he did get my completed application and set up an interview for tomorrow morning! What the hell? I can't believe that two friends told me of jobs and I have an interview! I laughed to myself while thinking,"Where were these jobs two years ago?"
 My dilemma now is how to lie to my co worker and boss tomorrow morning in order to meet the 9 AM interview. I really hate liars but now I will be one for the good of myself. Which one do I tell? I overslept? I have an appointment that I forgot about? Traffic was jammed up for two hours? Blah...I am more stressed about the lie than the interview.

Well I'm curious now what you said. Don't feel bad about it, it's necessary sometimes. Mannnnyyyy years ago I had my first apartment, first job and a brand new kitten. I wanted to play with my kitten and called in saying I had sprained my ankle. When I went in for my next shift I had to remember which foot I said I hurt, so I could limp accordingly. I'm sure your excuse wasn't that lame. And I hope the interview went well!

Curve Ball-First Pitch

  In looking for a new space to rent and dealing with this curve ball of life, I must say I am learning new things and meeting some interesting people. On a few occasions, I took my resume and letter of references with me. I felt that would solidify the type of person I am, and "ya never know" who you'll connect with.   Jason: he is a man 36 years of age. He has an 8 year old daughter who visits every other weekend, given his recent divorce. He owns his own home and is looking to rent two rooms to two tenants. He needs help with the house payment. It's an older farmhouse, small rooms, basement and he lays claim to the upstairs for his and his daughter's bedrooms and his office. Curve Ball-Slider

  A brief explanation of my area:Olympia, (population 45,000), Lacey (population 42,000), & Tumwater, (population 17,000) are all part of the blended area. Lacey is where I am nearest; 2 miles away, downtown Olympia is about 8 miles away and Tumwater is 10 miles in distance. The metropolitan area combined is about 104,000 people. At most times, no matter which direction you are diving from or to, you can see Mt. Rainier and the Cascade Mts., in the background. Lots of forests surround us, and the city has done a great job with lining the streets with trees and keeping it clean. You can, often, see the Capitol Dome sitting aside Capitol Lake, right in the middle of it all.  I continued my search of spaces for rent and responded to more ads via email.
